Azerbaijanis destroyed Alex Manukyan's statue in Stepanakert

Azerbaijan continues to destroy Armenian historical and cultural monuments in the occupied Artsakh. A video released in December 2023 revealed that the monument dedicated to the renowned Armenian philanthropist Alex Manukyan, located in Stepanakert, has become a target of Azerbaijani vandalism.

It is worth noting that after the forcible displacement of Armenians from Artsakh, Azerbaijan has been systematically "cleansing" Stepanakert and Artsakh of Armenian heritage and national identity.

It should be reminded that international legal documents and conventions prohibit the targeting of cultural heritage and qualify it as a war crime.
