The statue of Stepan Shahumyan in Stepanakert has been destroyed

After the forced displacement of Armenians from Artsakh, Azerbaijan continues its state policy of destroying cultural heritage. A video on Telegram channels shows the toppled statue of the public and political figure Stepan Shahumyan in the central square of Stepanakert, which had already been targeted by the Azerbaijani armed forces during the 44-day war in 2020.
