A map of Greater Armenia aired on the Azerbaijani TV channel 'Culture'
A few days ago, a pro-government Azerbaijani news website, "Oxu.az," published an article featuring a map of Greater Armenia.[1]
The author referred to the 2018 broadcast of the Greater Armenia map and the director of the program. However, within hours, the article became inaccessible to readers. It had been deleted.
In 2018, one of the "Azerbaijani historiographical" programs, "From Past to Future," aired the map of Greater Armenia. This itself contradicted the Azerbaijani propaganda and policy of falsifying and antedating the history and of the Azerbaijani people, as well as their myths presenting Armenians as newcomers.
This oversight caused a major uproar in Azerbaijan, and the authorities and the Azerbaijani "Culture" TV channel preferred to deny the reality and resolve issue in the "Azerbaijani" way by blaming the program director and punishing him.
Gyullu Yologlu, a senior researcher at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan and a Doctor of Historical Sciences, explained why the map appeared in the broadcast. He stated that the broadcast of the "fake" Greater Armenia map in the program was the mistake of the director, Davud Mikayillin, who was subsequently removed from the program and punished.
"Davud Mikayillin was the director of another program, and the program's regular director was on vacation, Davud Mikayillin replaced him. We provided Davud with enough material for the speakers. Natig Alyshov (one of the invited guests who studies Caucasian Albania (Aghvank) provided him with over 100 photos and videos. There were no mistakes in my broadcast or the speakers' opinions. I don't know why, but Davud, the program director, found the map with the inscription "Greater Armenia" on the internet and showed it. When we asked him to explain why he did such a thing, the director looked at us "like a lamb" and said nothing. Then he explained that he had typed "Albania" on the internet, found the photo, but did not pay attention to the word "Greater Armenia". Regardless, the management decided to punish him. He has already been completely removed from the program," Gullu Yologhlu said.
However, this is not the end of the story. After Gyullu Yologlu decided to blur the facts and blame the director, the Azerbaijani propaganda quickly realized that the fabricated denial of the video about the map could have a boomerang effect and raise questions about the study of historical truth.
Materials related to the map of Greater Armenia have been removed from Azerbaijani propaganda websites.

The publication that referred to the map of Greater Armenia, which was also deleted.
What is actually depicted on the map? In 387 AD, the Kingdom of Greater Armenia was divided between Rome and Sasanian Persia. After 428 AD, when the Armenian Arsacid dynasty was abolished in Armenia, several provinces of Greater Armenia were annexed to neighboring provinces of Persia. For example, the Armenian provinces of Artsakh and Utik were included in the marzpanate of Albania. All this is reflected in that map.
In fact, once again, the Azerbaijanis were unable to avoid facing historical truth and reality. Finding themselves in confusion and panic, trying to create new myths and deleting published materials, the Azerbaijani propaganda was caught in its own trap.
