The Ghazanchetsots Cemetery (Old Cemetery) of Shushi has fallen victim to Azerbaijan's vandalism

Azerbaijan is deliberately targeting the historical old cemeteries in the territory of the Republic of Artsakh, erasing the factual foundations of Armenian existence. Satellite monitoring by the "Caucasus Heritage Watch" revealed that the Ghazanchetsots or Old Cemetery of Shushi has been destroyed. Azerbaijan had begun the destruction of tombstones and khachkars (cross-stones) in 2023, and a satellite image from April 4, 2024, showed that the Old Cemetery has been completely demolished.
