Dr. Mikhail Ilchenko, a prominent researcher in sociology and urban history. He earned his PhD from the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Russian Academy of Sciences and currently works at the Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO) on the project 'Cities: Building: Culture.'
Dr. Ilchenko specializes in the social history of modernist architecture and urban transformations in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, with a particular focus on how public perceptions of modernist heritage have evolved. His research spans several countries, including Armenia, where he examines the unique contributions of Armenian modernist architecture to urban culture.
