Armen T. Marsoobian is a distinguished Professor of Philosophy at Southern Connecticut State University and an affiliated faculty member of the Institute of Human Rights at the University of Connecticut. He is renowned for his extensive work in moral philosophy, genocide studies, and Armenian history. Marsoobian has held the position of Editor-in-Chief of Metaphilosophy and served as the 2022 Ordjanian Visiting Professor of Armenian Studies at Columbia University. He is a leading figure in genocide scholarship, holding the role of First Vice President of the International Association of Genocide Scholars. His research and publications, including the award-winning book Fragments of a Lost Homeland: Remembering Armenia, explore the intersections of ethics, memory, and visual culture, particularly through the lens of the Armenian Genocide. Marsoobian has also curated exhibitions worldwide based on the Dildilian family's photography archive and has been actively involved in educational initiatives and NGOs focused on genocide and human rights.
