Azerbaijan has razed to ground the Holy Ascension Church in Berdzor

The Holy Ascension Church was located in the city of Berdzor in the Kashatagh region of the Republic of Artsakh. The church was built in 1998 and played an important role in the spiritual life of the population. On August 26, 2022, Azerbaijan occupied Berdzor. In May 2024, satellite images revealed that the Holy Ascension Church had been razed to ground.
