Karabakh and Karabakh Armenians in Avar historical sources

The Avar sources supplement the Armenian (Esayi Hasan Jalalyan, Abraham Kretatsi, Simeon Yerevantsi, etc.), Persian, and Russian sources about the Armenians of Artsakh in the 18th and 19th centuries. Dr., Professor Timur Aitberov, from the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnography of the Daghestan Scientific Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences, delivered a report titled “Karabakh and Karabakh Armenians in Avar historical sources” during the international conference “Armenia as a Civilizational Crossroad: Historical and Cultural Ties” organized by “Geghard” Scientific and Analytical Foundation.
